Occupational Injury Prevention Program

Epidemiology

Established in 1992, the Occupational Injury Prevention Program monitors occupational injuries in Alaska and disseminates prevention recommendations. The program is also responsible for administering the state-based Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluation (FACE) project under a contractual agreement with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Alaska Pacific Regional Office.
