Look for these dog jackets running down 4th Avenue at the ceremonial start of the Iditarod on
March 7th!
The "I Did It By TWO!" campaign will supply each musher
entered in the Iditarod with 2 dog jackets (see photos). Be sure to cheer on those mushers who are helping to spread the word about timely immunizations!

Project
In an effort to reward those Alaska children 0 to 2 years old who are up-to-date on their immunizations, the "I Did It By TWO!" campaign has sent one of
these cuddly, stuffed husky dogs to participating Alaska immunization providers to give away in a random drawing. As shown in the photo, the collar
on each dog is signed by 4-time Iditarod
champion, Martin Buser! All parents have to do is find out if their child's provider or clinic is participating in this project, and if so, enter their
child in the drawing to win!

Finally, if you're at the Anchorage (ceremonial) start of the 2009 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race on Saturday, March 7th, be sure to look for "I Did It By TWO!"
campaign volunteers with identifying armbands passing out free, fun, promotional items to the crowd!

for Alaska health care providers
participating in the Race to Vaccinate , such as colorful reminder stickers for parents' calendars, collectable posters featuring a dog mushing
theme, and fun stickers for children. These health care "team members" can give the posters and other fun stuff to parents as a reminder to keep
up-to-date with their babies' immunizations.

"Speak Out" About the Importance of Childhood Immunization
The "I Did It By TWO!" campaign is very proud to have 4-time Iditarod champion Martin Buser as its faithful
spokesman and partner. Martin promotes childhood immunizations at every opportunity throughout the year and often
attends special immunization events with his sled dogs in the Anchorage and Mat-Su
areas to help remind parents to immunize their babies. To learn more

Jon Little joined the "I Did It By TWO!" campaign because he feels its a good cause and wants to give back to the community that has supported him in his mushing career.

Iditarod musher Paul Gebhardt and his wife travel to Alaska schools throughout the year promoting childhood immunizations. They are strong supporters of the "I Did It By TWO!" campaign.
Paul, a proud father of three and grandfather of three, knows firsthand the importance of protecting children from preventable childhood diseases.
Aliy Zirkle, Iditarod musher and winner of the 2000 Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race, has joined
the "I Did It By Two!" team. Aliy will speak to parents and community members in Alaska's interior to increase awareness of the importance of timely immunization of Alaskan children, especially in the critical years from birth to age 2.
